“Awakening” 48X46 sold
Many layers to achieve this almost 3D illusion. I begin with a light coat of very soft texture paste, I sometimes sand it down after it dries. I’m looking for slight elevation variations, to allow the paint an interesting flow. Once the texture paste is thoroughly dry, I apply various colors of “high flow” paint by Golden, while wet I spray alcohol, it forms beautiful patterns. Let it dry for a day, when dry I apply a layer of glazing medium, to protect the surface. I search for outstanding patterns the paint has formed and I enhance them. In this case a spring awakening of flowers and leaves took shape.

“Color me gold” 30X24 I painted with texture paste, gold leaf, ink and acrylic.
Ink colors are very intense, I buy pure pigments, when mixed with acrylics they flow and form beautiful patterns. I use golden fluid acrylics, the heavy body is too thick, it won’t allow the ink to flow.

A quick floral study
I work with acrylics, they dry very fast. I usually apply Retarder to my surface for open time. In this case I’m using water to drip my paint, Retarder and water don’t mix, the paint will lift. I work fast so that my colors mix on my canvas while wet. A sort of impressionistic porcelain flowers. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, spring has finally sprung in Montreal😁

Just started this painting, an elaborate tree all in line work, with 2 colorful peacocks. I’m working on the trunk of the tree. The entire peace is intuitive painting, I use acrylic paint and a .O5 liner brush. I don’t have a specific design in mind, just make up as I go, art from the heart.

“Pays des merveilles” 36X36
I have been working on this piece for almost two weeks. The entire line-work is done with a paint brush and acrylic paint. I begin by applying random colors and forming patterns. One form leads me to the next, the challenge here is to control color and harmonize the flow. I create with childhood fantasies in mind, everything is brighter, new, exciting, without realty shrouding the view. My inner child is a prominent presence in my life, she inspires me with awe and wonderment.
